Sister Lucy, 1957: “For three reasons the Blessed Virgin has given me to understand that we are at the end of time.” Hey them here.
On December 26, 1957, Father Agustín Fuentes, a priest of the diocese of Veracruz (Mexico) and vice postulator of the causes of beatification of St. Jacinta and St. Francis Marto, spoke extensively with Sister Lucy in the convent of Coimbra, Portugal . On his return to Mexico he gave a conference on this meeting, referring to the words of Sister Lucy.
Father Joaquín Maria Alonso [1] emphasized that the report of the conference was published “with all the guarantees of authenticity and with the proper episcopal approval , including that of the Bishop of Fatima” [2].
Below, in full, as published on the Portuguese website Apelos de Nossa Senhora , the words spoken by Sister Lucy to Fr. Agustín. At the time, the priest says that he had found the seer of Fatima “very sad, very pale and depressed.” This is what she revealed to him [3].
Dear Father, the Blessed Virgin is very saddened, no one to heed Your Message, neither the good nor the bad: the good ones, because they continue in their path of goodness, but without paying attention to this Message; the evil ones, because, not seeing that the punishment of God already hovers over them because of their sins, they also continue in their way of evil, ignoring this Message. But believe me, Father, God will punish the world, and will punish you in a tremendous way . The punishment of Heaven is imminent.
Father, what is missing for 1960? And what will happen then? It will be a very sad thing for everyone, not a joyful thing, if the world does not pray and repent . I can not go into more detail, since it’s still a secret. According to the will of the Blessed Virgin, only the Holy Father and the Bishop of Fatima are allowed to know the Secret, but they decided not to know it in order not to be influenced. This is the third part of the Message of Our Lady, which will be kept secret until 1960.
Tell them, Father, that the Blessed Virgin repeatedly told us, both to my cousins Francisco and Jacinta, and to me, that several nations will disappear from the face of the earth. He said that Russia would be the instrument of heaven’s punishment for the whole world , if we did not reach the conversion of this poor nation.
Father, the devil is fighting a decisive battle against the Virgin Mary . And since he knows that he is the one who offends God the most and who, in less time, will win him a greater number of souls, he tries to win for himself the souls consecrated to God , since in this way the devil also leaves the field of souls of the faithful forsaken and more easily seizes them.
What afflicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the fall of the souls of the Religious and the Priests. The devil knows that religious and priests who fall from their beautiful vocation draw many souls to hell . The devil wants to take possession of consecrated souls. It tries to corrupt them to numb the souls of the laity and thus lead them to final impenitence.
It uses all the tricks, even to the point of suggesting a delay in entering religious life. What results from this is the sterility of the interior life, and among the laity a coldness (lack of enthusiasm) as to renounce to the pleasures and to dedicate totally to God.
Father, let us not expect from Rome a call to penance from the Holy Father for the whole world; nor do we hope that such an appeal will come from the Bishops for each of the Dioceses; nor even of the Religious Congregations. No. Our Lord has already used many of these means and no one has listened to them . So now … now that each one of us begins his own spiritual reform : he has to save not only his soul but also all the souls that God has put in his way …
The devil does everything in his power to distract us and withdraw our love of prayer ; we will all be saved or we will all be condemned.
My Lord, the Blessed Virgin did not tell me that we were in the last days of the world, but I was given three reasons to understand:
The first because he told me that the devil is fighting a decisive battle against the Virgin Mary and a decisive battle is a final battle, where we will know which side will win and which side will defeat . So now, either we are of God or we are of the devil: there is no middle ground.
The second, because he told me, both to my cousins and to me, that there were two of the last remedies God gave to the world: the Holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary; and if they are the last remedies, it means that they are really the last, that there will be no others .
And the third because always in the plans of Divine Providence, when God is going to punish the world, first exhausts all other means; then, seeing that the world has paid no attention to any of them, only then (as we would say in our imperfect way of speaking) does His Blessed Mother present us, in a certain fear, the ultimate means of salvation. Because if we despise and repel the latter, we will no longer obtain forgiveness from Heaven : because we commit a sin which is called in the Gospel “sin against the Holy Spirit” and consists in openly refusing, with all knowledge and will, salvation that is given to us in our hands; and also because Our Lord is a very good Son, and does not allow us to offend and despise His Most Holy Mother, bearing witness to the history of several centuries of the Church which, with terrible examples, shows us how Our Lord always left in defense of the Honor of His Most Holy Mother.
There are two ways to save the world: prayer and sacrifice. Look, Father, the Blessed Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given a new efficacy to the prayer of the Holy Rosary. In such a way that now no problem, however difficult it may be, is temporal or, above all, spiritual, which refers to the personal life of each one of us; or to the lives of our families, be it the families of the world, be it the Religious Communities; or to the life of peoples and nations. No problem, I repeat, however difficult it may be, that we can not resolve now with the prayer of the Holy Rosary . With the Holy Rosary we will save ourselves, sanctify ourselves, comfort our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls.
And then, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Most Holy Mother, seeing in her the thirst for mercy, kindness and forgiveness, and the safe door to enter Heaven. Also tell them, Father, that my cousins Francis and Jacinta sacrificed themselves because they saw the Blessed Virgin always very sad in all her appearances. He never smiled at us ; and this sadness and anguish that we noticed in the Blessed Virgin, because of the offenses against God and the punishments that threatened sinners, we felt them to the soul. And we did not even know what else to invent to find in our childish imagination means of prayer and sacrifice.
