May, Brides Month: 9 Tips from Pope Francis to prepare a wedding

Sharing is caring!

The councils are based on the exhortation Amoris Laetitia

May is traditionally known as brides month and many choose to get married exactly in this period. But other than the wedding date, other issues are important at this time. In the post-synodal exhortation Amoris Laetitia , Pope Francis gives nine tips for preparing the wedding day:

1. Do not focus on details

The Pope asks not to focus too much on the countless details that consume the economic resources and energy of the bride and groom, because they arrive at the already tired marriage. Instead, it indicates the need to devote your best strengths to preparing as a couple for this great step. “This same mentality also underlies the decision of some de facto unions that never get married, because they think of the high expenses of the party, instead of giving priority to mutual love and their formalization before others.”
